May #TogetherWeLetter Days 23-29: Watercolor fun!

Such an amazing week here! I solely used watercolor for this week's lettering challenge. And one thing I discovered is I have lesser mistakes when I do lettering with watercolors. Which is apparently good because I get to save up on papers. Lol!

Check out days 23-29! ^_^

May #TogetherWeLetter Days 16-22: More watercolor, more journaling cards!

I'm now fond of watercolor! I found a very nice paint brush (the cheap ones of course) and so far I'm satisfied how it works with watercolors. One of my favorites is day 21, I never knew yellow is such a nice color to use for lettering and goes very well with the flower crown I used for props.

And the cards, such a superb combination of design and colors I used in my work.

Overall, I'm in love with this weeks outcome. *smile*

Dainty Fabric Flowers: CHA Collection - Yoyos

Here's the CHA Collection of Yoyos. All made using the same fabric colors from the poppies - deep pink, tangerine, golden yellow, moss green, orchid, aqua blue, and light blue.

This is just a small fabric flower measuring around 1.25" in diameter. It is very tiny which is very perfect for adding details on craft projects.

May #TogetherWeLetter Days 09-15: Spice it up!

This week I used different materials for writing - watercolor, colored pencil, and color marker. I almost forgot that I can use them too for the lettering challenge. Plus, the brush pens that I always used are running out of ink, so I'm saving them up now because I don't have any plans of buying new pens yet.

I also used a journaling card when I took a picture of my day 09 work. It actually looks good and will be using this technique from now on to add "spice" on my IG feed. Lol! Time to get more journaling cards now! *grin*

May #TogetherWeLetter Days 01-08: Little Doodles Here and There.

I kind of failed in my somewhat desperate attempt to incorporate some doodles on my calligraphy. I made it on days 01 & 04, but the rest.. nada! So I decided, to drop doodling and continue with the lettering challenge instead. Besides, I still yet to find out if I'm really for brush pens or the real ones.

Enjoy my first week of #TogetherWeLetter. *smile*

Colorful Fabric Flowers: CHA Collection - Poppies

Who says we can't play colors with fabrics? We can!

Shopping for fabric has always been fun. With all the eye candy surrounding you inside the fabric store, you would definitely want to buy all the fabrics there.

That's what I did, sort of

I was so excited when I saw the fabrics, the colors were so adorable that I really want to buy all of it. But I have to stick with my budget, so I only bought the ones that were requested by my friend - she specifically wanted the CHA colors of 2014, thus naming this as the CHA collection.

Now, the fabrics were used for poppies and ruffled fabric flowers or yoyos - which sum up the collection.

I made two sizes for the poppies - 1.5" and 2.25" in diameter. The bigger flower is easier to make, I can comfortably burn the sides, unlike the smaller one which is very tough to make. I also used a piece of faux pearl in the center.

#TogetherWeLetter Days 25-30 + MAY Challenge Prompts

I've been lazy for the past week because of the scorching heat, that all I wanted to do was freeze in front of the fan!

BUT BUT BUT...

I finished the lettering challenge!!!

HOORAY!!!

That was a first! Makes me proud of my little accomplishment. I'm really happy! ^_^

I love how #togetherweletter went. I saw progress on my work, creative juices are starting to flow (again, after how many years), I get to discover techniques on how to do my lettering without too many mistakes (and wasted papers. Hihi!) and finding the best time to work on the challenge.

I just wish, and I'm really crossing my fingers, that I'll get to fulfill my dreams anytime soon. Using calligraphy and fabric flowers to create one unique handmade piece.

God willing! ^_^

Cheers to the last week of April Together We Letter Challenge.
